Located in the mountains of Mataquescuintla, Jalapa, El Pedregal is one of Guatemala’s largest and most established coffee estates, covering 1,001 hectares, 925 of which are dedicated to coffee production. The farm benefits from fertile volcanic soils with a pH ranging from 6.5 and 7.5, Harvesting takes place from December through February, when the coffee cherries reach their optimal level of ripeness. El Pedregal cultivates Catuai, Caturra, and Pacamara varieties, carefully managed to ensure consistent quality and excellent cup characteristics.
The estate operates a modern wet mill where the coffee undergoes a carefully controlled process that includes reception and weighing, pulping, fermentation, washing, drying, and classification. The farm is committed to sustainable production practices and holds internationally recognized certifications, including Rainforest Alliance and C.A.F.E. Practices, demonstrating its dedication to environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and consistent quality
