Several people sit together sorting red coffee cherries on a large white cloth, with woven baskets nearby. Overlaid text reads “Ethiopia Daniso Horsa."

Daniso Horsa is a coffee producer in the picturesque Damo area of Shantawene, nestled within the Bensa district of Sidama.
It begins with nurturing the trees and patiently awaiting the transformation of delicate white coffee blossoms into vibrant red berries.

Once ripe, the labor-intensive task of hand-picking only the ripest cherries commences, requiring meticulous attention to detail and frequent revisits to the trees. Additionally, Daniso operates a second farmsite in the Faficho area of Bombe Kebele, further contributing to the coffee production in the Bensa zone.

If you enjoy funky-tasting coffees, these are the beans you’ve been waiting for ;). The fermentation notes are well integrated but unmistakable. These are my second-favourite beans I’ve ever encountered, with the top spot held by Uganda Kingha (extended fermentation), which you sold back in December 2021. It’s been a long wait, but I’m fully stocked now, and the freezer is ready ;).

Thank you, as always, for the great selection and roasting!
