The Cooperative Association of Agricultural Producers ATAISI de R.L., was born by decree 153 of 1980 by which the assets of the company Salmar, S.A. were transferred, whose beneficiaries are the workers of the farms and agro-industrial centers that provided their services for Salmar, S.A., thus becoming associates of the nascent Cooperative composed of 230 associates, of this 69 are women and 161 men.

Ataisi work with the following coffee varieties Pacamara, Sampacho, Costa Rica 95, Bourbon, Catimor, Colombian, Pacas, Cuscatleco, Marseilleza, They also produce honey which  occurs under coffee flowering.

Ataisi works by distributing the workforce according to each of the cooperative’s needs and the coffee growing cycle. When the harvest season arrives, they already know who the collectors will be and assign them based on the maturity levels and the volume that will be harvested on each farm, and the same happens for the drying of the coffee. Ataisi’s vision is to be a competitive cooperative enterprise, using resources efficiently, being a pole of economic and social development through the sustainability of the associates, their families and communities in general.
